The Saddleback College Interior Design Club Web Site was created by the 2007-2008 SCIDC Board as a reliable resource that provides valuable information about the club, events, research and the interior design industry. Our Web Site is an invaluable tool that enables student members to successfully network throughout their student career. Great job 2007-2008 SCIDC!
With excitement and after much anticipation, we start the 2008-2009 year having finally moved out of the Village and into the newly renovated BGS building. The Interior Design Department boasts bright, new classrooms with new drafting tables, ergo-friendly chairs, wonderful display windows, a fresh design lab, and coming soon….our very own lighting lab with computers! WOW!
If you haven’t seen it, please visit the SCIDC’s new bulletin board in the classrooms where we will keep you informed of events that will help guide you through your educational transition from student to design professional.
As many already know, SCIDC has been an invaluable resource for many students over the years. Learning happens inside and outside of the classroom, as such we welcome you to join the club! By joining, you will not only enhance your classroom learning experiences, but also join a community of peers and design professionals that will significantly expand your opportunities for success. On a personal note, being active in the SCIDC has opened many doors for me, and it can for you too. I am excited about the coming year and I encourage all students in the program to join a committee, or take a leadership position as a committee chair. It can be as easy as volunteering for a day, or seeing a project through from beginning to end. The Secretary and Meeting Coordinator Board Positions are still available, as are numerous volunteer opportunities. Feel free to contact any of the board members for more information.
